De La Soul: Freedom of Speak (We Got Three Minutes)
De La Soul reimagined hip hop on March 3, 1989 with their debut album Three Feet High and Rising. The 35th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of that album was just released. “Freedom of Speak (We Got Three Minutes)” was the B-side to their first single, “Plug Tunin’,” in 1988. It was ignored then, but it is now available for all to stream and enjoy.
