Lucifer: Fallen Angel

Johanna Sadonis formed her hard rock band Lucifer in 2014. The group’s fifth album, simply titled Lucifer V, was released in January 2024. Their sound is hard rock reminiscent of ’70s bands such as Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, although it is difficult to avoid the Heart comparisons as Sadonis brings an in-your-face vocal style reminiscent of Ann Wilson. Album opener “Fallen Angel” is straight-ahead hard rock with a nicely infectious chorus. There is nothing new to hear on this one, but if you like hard rock reminiscent of Priest and Sabbath then this will make you happy.
