Melissa Aldana: Ritual

Sunday is jazz day. Melissa Aldana is a tenor saxophonist from Chile and Echoes of the Inner Prophet is her 7th album. It is a collection of eight modern jazz tunes, featuring Aldana on sax, Lage Lund on guitar, Fabian Almazan on piano, Pablo Menares on bass, and Kush Abadey on drums. “Ritual” is a beautiful composition by bassist Menares that pays homage to Brazilian singer-songwriter Guinga.
