Water From Your Eyes: The Good Ship Lifestyle

Water From Your Eyes released one of the best indie-rock albums of 2023 (Everyone’s Crushed). One year later, they have just released a very nice 4-song EP of covers. “The Good Ship Lifestyle” is a cover of a song from Chumbawamba’s breakout 1997 album Tubthumper. The EP also contains a stylized upbeat pop cover of Adele’s “Someone Like You,” a simple cover of Al Green’s “Tired of Being Alone,” and a surprising cover of the deep cut “Motorcycle Drive By” by Third Eye Blind. Water From Your Eyes have their own unique sound, which makes them a great cover band, and this EP is my new summer jam.
