Squash Flower

Ms. Faux and I have a garden. It is not very big, but it is packed with variety. Continuing this week’s focus on photos of small flowers that are often ignored, especially those found on vegetables and herbs, here are some squash flowers. Anyone who grows squash is familiar with these large yellow blooms, but usually only pay attention to them in anticipation of the creation of the fruit. Their five-petaled shape is very identifiable and very beautiful. I’ve also included a song if anyone would like to groove to some classic Latin percussion.
