Aztec Camera: Walk Out To Winter
Saturday is Lost Classics day, and today’s selection is “Walk Out To Winter” from the 1983 debut album High Land, Hard Rain by Scottish band Aztec Camera. They combined acoustic jangle pop with sophisti-pop to produce a sound that was very fresh in 1983. They never achieved the fame of many of their contemporaries and have now been relegated to the list of similar and forgotten bands such as Lloyd Cole and the Commotions and Blue Nile. On a personal note, this album is one of Ms. Faux‘s favorites from the period and she introduced it to me when we were so much younger.
