The Spinners: Rubberband Man
It’s funky Friday! Continuing my focus on artists who died in 2024, today I present a song that I loved as a child. “Rubberband Man” was as close to a novelty song as The Spinners ever recorded, but it still holds up if you want to listen to some old school disco funk. Henry Fambrough was the baritone for the famed R&B vocal quintet and was the last living original member of the group. He died on February 7, 2024.

Funky Friday! I like that π happy weekend ahead!
