Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys: Santa’s On His Way

I love to find old holiday songs that I didn’t know before. I often find them throughout the year while researching these posts, at which point I will throw them into a list for later. One of this year’s finds is the 1949 tune “Santa’s On His Way” by Bob Wills. Wills and his band The Texas Playboys were instrumental in the development of a form of Country and Western music in the ’30s and ’40s that came to be called Western Swing. I have never heard a Bob Wills recording that I did not like, and this one is no different.
