Wild Billy Childish and the Musicians of the British Empire: Knick Knack Paddywack (Chuck it in the Bin)
Saturday is lost classics day and this is a Holiday edition. I’m not sure if an album from 2007 can be considered a lost classic, but I am pretty sure that most people have never heard Christmas 1979 by Wild Billy Childish and the Musicians of the British Empire. The album is a mix of originals and covers, and all are performed in the same style that Billy Childish has been perfecting since 1977 on his more than 100 albums with his many different bands. This is noisy, sloppy garage rock by one of the genre’s godfathers. Listening to this album early in the season is a Faux household tradition now, after first downloading it when it was released 17 years ago.

Catching up on missed posts! Can’t say I was ready for this first thing in the morning, but I’m awake now! haha
