Rufus Thomas: I’ll Be Your Santa
It’s funky Friday, holiday style! Clarence Carter dropped the perfect holiday funk tune in 1968 with “Back Door Santa,” but Rufus Thomas came close to matching him in 1973 with “I’ll Be Your Santa, Baby.” The double-entendres aren’t quite as strong on this one as on Carter’s classic, but this is still a stone cold funk classic.
