Roland Kirk: We Free Kings
Sunday is jazz day, and today is a Holiday edition. Roland Kirk was a unique talent and his 1962 title track “We Free Kings” is a great example of his early work in experimental jazz. His version of the traditional carol “We Three Kings” is one of my favorite Holiday jazz recordings. You’ve got to love that flute!
