The Libertines: Run Run Run

There were a lot of great 2024 releases by artists who have been around for 25 or more years. Some of these, such as new albums by Elbow, The Libertines, and Sleater-Kinney, present new material that doesn’t sound that much different than the artist’s early material. Others, such as releases by David Gilmour and Paul Weller, are very different than the recordings they released 50 years ago. In all cases, however, any new material by these artists is welcomed by their fans. I’ve selected “Run Run Run” by The Libertines to represent all of these artists who are too old to rock and roll but too young to die.
