The Cure: A Fragile Thing
Continuing my Best of 2024 posts, today’s selection is “A Fragile Thing” by The Cure. If you don’t understand how amazing it is to have received a new album by this band in 2024 then you weren’t an alternative teen from the last 40 years. It is their first release in 16 years and only their fourth release of the 21st century. There may not be another, but this one gives fans everything they could want from a new Cure album.

The new Cure album was true love at first listen. And the video of their live performance promoting the album was goose-bump inducing. Robert Smith’s voice is as strong as ever, and the songs are amazing–each and every one.
