Kiss: Cold Gin
Continuing my focus on the music of 1975, today’s song is from the best Live album of the year. I mentioned in yesterday’s post about The Best of Louis Jordan that I don’t normally include Greatest Hits albums in my Top 20 lists. The same can be said for Live albums. However, I have to shine a spotlight on one specific Live album from 1975 because it is an album that defines the music of my childhood. I first heard Kiss Alive! at my best friend’s house because his older sister owned every Kiss album. He and I listened to Kiss every day while laughing at Wacky Stickers and playing with our Evil Knievel wind up motorcycles. I’m not going to say much more about this. I grew up loving Kiss, I still listen to Kiss, and I will always listen to Kiss. If you don’t get Kiss, I 100% understand. However, anyone who was part of the Kiss Army in the 1970s knows that Kiss became KISS! in 1975 because of this album. All I can say is “it looks like we’re gonna have ourselves a rock and roll party tonight!”
