Thin Lizzy: For Those Who Love To Live
Continuing my focus on the music of 1975, today’s song is from the best hard rock album of the year. When Thin Lizzy released their fifth album (Fighting), they were one year away from their breakout album, appropriately titled Jailbreak. Although many don’t know the album Fighting, this is as solid as hard rock got in the 70s and was their first album to chart in the UK. Thin Lizzy never made it as big in the US as they should have, but 50 years later they have a devoted fan base that spans generations and realizes that they were as good as Kiss, Bad Company, Deep Purple, or any other hard rock band of the period.
