Pink Floyd: Wish You Were Here
Continuing my focus on the music of 1975, today’s selection is from album #2 on my Top 20 list. I will start by saying that I am a Pink Floyd fan and have been since I was a teenager. There was a time when most critic’s polls of the greatest rock albums of all time included anywhere from 3 to 5 Pink Floyd albums, although that list has shrunk over time. At the top was always Dark Side of the Moon. For decades, that was also my favorite, with The Wall a close second. As I’ve gotten older, Wish You Were Here and Animals have replaced those two as my favorites. That is all I am going to say. If you don’t already know this album, you probably don’t like Pink Floyd, and that is fine. For me, this is as good as rock music gets.

A fantastic song, a fantastic band, and still one of the best live shows I have ever witnessed!

As good as it gets, indeed. Agreeing with Kevin below that it was one of the best live shows ever! This song I love particularly.

It’s so cool that you saw them live. Not everyone has had that chance.

Absolutely. I don’t think about it often, but when I do it’s a wonderful memory.
