Boozoo Chavis: Paper In My Shoe (Live)
Continuing my focus on artists I have seen live, here is a song by Boozoo Chavis. I love zydeco music and have seen several artists perform live over the years. My favorite has always been Chavis. He was one of the genre’s originators, and “Paper In My Shoe” was his first single in 1955. This live version is from around the time I saw him perform, 40 years into his legendary career. This is the shit.
