Saturday is lost classics day and today’s selection is the debut album by No Wave/New Wave band The Waitresses. Released in 1982, this album includes their hit song “I Know What Boys Like” and the reissues also include their holiday classic “Christmas Wrapping.” The band’s other well-known song (at least at the time) was their theme to the lost classic television show Square Pegs. What most don’t know, because they’ve never listened to this album, is that every song on it is as good as their hits. They were an under-appreciated band who came and went much too quickly.
