Radio Faux Show Volume 2, Number 41 (November 6, 2022): Female Artists From A To Z

This Week’s Theme: Female Artists From A To Z

Special Note: Sometimes, time is precious. For that reason, I have recently devoted most of my time to personal tasks that are not writing this blog. In addition, I am starting to plan for a slew of end of year Holiday and Best Of The Year Faux Shows, so the time I have to spend on the shows up until then is even less. I have already completed the next few playlists, so for the next few weeks I will be releasing those shows with limited blog text, starting with this week’s show. This show deserves a lot more text than it is getting, so I may try to release another Female Artists show in the early part of 2023 to compensate.

Readers of the Faux Show know that I often voice my opinion about the discrimination toward women in the music industry. For that reason, I sometimes present shows themed around female artists, such as RFS, Volume 1, # 32 (Female Artists A-Z, Part 1), RFS, Volume 1, # 32 (Female Artists A-Z, Part 2), and this year’s show focused on women snubbed by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

This week’s show is the 2022 edition of female artists from A to Z. There are 38 songs by 35 different women, spanning a variety of genres, styles, and decades.

Welcome to Radio Faux Show Volume 2, Number 41.

Amazon Music

Some of the artists in this week’s show are included because I know and like their music, but many of them are artists I had not heard of before this week. My basic method for selecting those new artists was to start typing female names into the search bar and see what comes up. For example, typing “Sarah B” returns Sarah Bareilles, Sarah Brightman, Sarah Buxton, and so on. There are birthdays, a trip around the world, new music, hits, and more.
