Jimmy James & The Vagabonds: I Feel Alright
Continuing my focus on artists who died in 2024, today I present a song by Jimmy James & The Vagabonds. Jimmy James was born in Jamaica in 1940 and recorded one of the first ska songs to get airplay in England in the early ’60s. During the mid 1960s, he opened shows for The Who, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and others. James never had any hits you would know, unless you are into obscure British singles from the 60s and 70s, but he continued to perform into his 80s. He died on May 24, 2024 at the age of 83.
