Diana Krall: Frim Fram Sauce
Sunday is jazz day. Continuing my focus on artists who died in 2024, today I present a song by Diana Krall that features Russell Malone on guitar and Christian McBride on bass. Russell Malone died on August 23, 2024. He was one of the most prolific jazz guitarists of the last 30 years, recording with dozens of artists across multiple genres. Many of his most well-known recordings are as a member of Diana Krall’s band. The 1996 album All For You: A Dedication To The Nat King Cole Trio was Krall’s breakthrough album and her first to feature Malone. It is one of my favorite albums of all time. If you don’t think you like or understand jazz, listen to this album. It is simply a piano, bass, guitar, and vocals, and is a gateway drug to the joy that only jazz can provide.

So happy to start my day with this song!!
