Vintage Shiny Brite “Eyelash” Ornament
I’ve been very lax in my Photo of the Day posts, but I’ll try to get some Holiday themed images out there over the next week. Here is a vintage Shiny Brite ornament that looks like a futuristic space-age eyelash. We bought a set of these decades ago and still hang them every year. They are probably from the late ’50s/early ’60s. I have also included the most famous Holiday song-poem for your musical enjoyment. If you don’t know what song-poems are, listen to this song, and if you are smart you will then read this Wikipedia article and then listen to the album The American Song-Poem Christmas on your favorite streaming service. I’ve put links to it below. Nothing sounds like Christmas more than a collection of song-poems!
