Bill Frisell: Lookout For Hope

Sunday is jazz day! Continuing my focus on my favorite music of 2024, today’s tune is “Lookout For Hope” from Bill Frisell’s album Orchestras. This is my favorite jazz album of the year. It combines live performances of Frisell’s trio with the Brussels Philharmonic and the Umbria Jazz Orchestra. Each tune is an improvised piece of music where the orchestras are given the freedom to provide a background to the trio’s jazz vision. This is headphone music – meditational, exciting, and incredibly creative.
