When I started the original Radio Faux Show, one of my favorite themes was to take a trip around the world and learn about music that I do not know. I’ll come back to my normal posts in a few weeks, such as 3 Song Dance Party, Lyrical Tuesday, and Funky Friday, but for now let’s continue our journey across the globe.
It’s funky Friday, so it seems only appropriate to shake Djibouti. Abdallah Lee was one of the most popular Djibouti performers in the 1980s and 90s. “Lakqo Gile” is a funky groove.

Definitely infused with a reggae flavor–good stuff!
