The Bad Plus: First Part:Adoration of the Earth:The Augurs of Spring
Sunday is jazz day. Continuing my focus on the music of 2014, one of my favorite jazz albums of that year was The Rite of Spring by jazz trio The Bad Plus. The album is a reimagining of Igor Stravinsky’s most famous composition. It is adventurous, unexpected, and at times breathtaking.
